Fragole means strawberry in Italian. In other words, our restaurant is named for a simple pleasure. When we opened our doors, heated our ovens, and turned on our stoves for the first time in October, 2003, we had simplicity and pleasure as our main goal.
Too often, restaurants overcomplicate food. But we know that a good dining experience comes from the best ingredients – not the most gimmicky assortment of them.
Our restaurant stands in a traditionally an beautiful Italian neighborhood: Carroll Gardens. It’s exciting (there’s little reason to leave), and yet it has a relaxed pace. It’s old, and yet it continues to evolve; our community is expanding everyday. We feel one with our neighborhood, and our neighbors have made us a fixture on Court Street. With our housemade pastas, breads, and sauces, we serve the most satisfying of Italian meals.
It’s not complicated. It’s simple. And it’s such a pleasure. We hope you come visit us soon.
